For the project, I did the overall art Direction, identity for the brand and video interviews with the talents.
The platform's goal was to create a community where the next generation of designers could share their ideas and dreams. The aim was to showcase the creative process and the inspiration behind each artist's/designer's work rather than the final ouput.
Process
Designwise, the idea was that by speaking in that same visual code as a luxury house, the talents featured on the platform would carry the same visual weight and credibility as the institutions their work is meant to stand alongside. I therefore focused on a simple graphic line using neutral colours and a general use of the typeface Moulin (from Commercial Type), which is also the logotype. To keep the focus on the talents themselves rather than on the platform's graphic expression, the identity is built around photography and video, here with a focus on depictions of the atmosphere of the talents' process work. Every image is graded in the same high-contrast, reddish tone, creating visual continuity across the material and tying together the different talents' work and visuality under the same umbrella.
