In 2023, a series of music videos was created for Danish indie artist Carla Olsen to accompany her debut album. The project built a cohesive visual identity across video, graphic design, and photography, shaping a world that visually amplifies the atmosphere and storytelling of her music.

Process

Carla Olsen is a Danish indie artist signed with the London-based agency Lunar Records. Her songs centre around inner struggles and emotions. For Carla’s debut record, It Blooms from Ashes, we wanted to create a world that reflected the music. The process for each video was different and focused on visualising the feeling of the song, but still keeping it within a universe tied to the fragility and sensibility present in the universe of the album.













I am Viola, a Copenhagen-based graphic designer and filmmaker working across brand design, art direction, and film. I take a strategic, research-led approach, always asking how each decision shapes the overall understanding of the output. I hold an MA in Graphic Communication Design and a BA in Spatial Design from the Royal Danish Academy. I've worked with cultural institutions and fashion clients, alongside my own research-led projects.
